Built by me, free to use

Tools

I build the tools I wish I had on the job. Both of these are free, open source and run on a server you control, with nothing to subscribe to.

Podstudio recording: the current line of the script is marked, the level meter sits in the target zone, and Cough, Retake and Ad-lib are one key away

Podcasting · In development

Podstudio

The teleprompter that listens. A podcast studio in your browser. The script scrolls as you speak and waits when you wander, while lossless WAV records to your own server with every retake, cough and ad-lib marked.

  • Voice-follow teleprompter
  • Mono or stereo WAV, 16 or 24-bit
  • Guest recording with a six-digit code
  • Hotkey pads for sound effects and music

NetOps Toolkit

Calculators, config generators and reference sheets for network engineers, including a broadcast section for Livewire and AES67. Every tool runs in your browser.

The toolkit is being rebuilt in Astro. The new build is open for testing, and the current version stays up until the rebuild is finished and replaces it.

  • Subnet, VLSM, bandwidth and number converters
  • Cisco IOS generators: VLAN, ACL, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN and more
  • Ports, protocols, cabling, SNMP and a glossary
  • Livewire and AES67 references

Both are still changing often. Check any generated config before you apply it, and open an issue if something is wrong.
